Hiking In The Balkans
About The Region
The Balkans is a fantastically diverse region for hiking, from icy cold peaks where snow lasts almost year-round, to gentle rolling hillsides carpeted in wildflowers. The region is home to a number of different mountain ranges including the grand Carpathian Mountains, the second largest in Europe; the Dinaric Alps, stretching from Slovenia through to Albania; and the Pindus mountains, known as the “spine of Greece”.
We have experience hiking in a number of Balkan countries. The conditions of hiking routes vary from country-to-country but every region has it’s own unique beauty.
